Meet Kyle Foskett, PsyD

I bring a calm, curious, and gentle attention to my clients’ experience. As a therapist, my main influences are drawn from psychotherapies called Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. During graduate school I trained at the Carl Rogers Institute. These are client-centered therapies, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship, your values, and scientifically-validated techniques to reduce suffering and foster your inner harmony. Healing and clarity are possible, and you don't have to sort it alone.

I achieved my doctoral degree in clinical psychology in 2014 at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. For the first 12 years of my career I worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs where I developed proficiency in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and the mental health challenges that can arise when living with physical disability. During this time, I became trained in EMDR, an evidence-based approach that helps the brain and body fully process traumatic experiences so they no longer drive your present-day reactions.

My specialization in psychological assessment is grounded in my experience of being a teaching assistant for a doctoral-level cognitive assessment course, working at a neuropsychology practice, and conducting disability examinations at the VA. I provide comprehensive cognitive and personality assessments, with specialization in adult ADHD evaluations. Whether you’re seeking diagnostic clarity for work, school, or personal insight, I offer thorough, strengths-based evaluations designed to provide meaningful answers.

If you’re ready to move toward healing or gain a clearer understanding of how your mind works, I welcome you to reach out for an appointment.

I hold the PSYPACT Authorization to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology, which means I’m able to offer my telepsychology services beyond the borders of Illinois to participating member states. This authorization allows me to provide high quality remote care while ensuring that I meet the legal and professional requirements of each member state where clients reside.
