Hi, I’m Michelle, a Peoria therapist for anxiety, trauma, burnout, and relationship stress. If you’ve found yourself on this page you may be feeling like something needs to change. Perhaps you’ve worked hard to move beyond past challenges or traumas, but are still struggling. Or maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions, life’s responsibilities, or difficult new changes. If this feels true, then you’re in the right place.

As your therapist, I will explore your experience with you with a warm and gentle curiosity. I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you at whatever pace feels right. My approach is rooted in the awareness that events from our past are at the heart of many mental health struggles and that real change requires more than surface-level coping. This understanding drew me towards the deeper work of trauma-informed care.

I am trained in EMDR, an approach that helps clients access and heal the parts of themselves that have been carrying pain, often for a very long time. I have a holistic approach, integrating mindfulness and somatic awareness techniques to help connect the mind and body, and establish the inner harmony from the bottom-up.

You don't have to keep carrying this alone, and it is possible to live the life you want.

My Approach

I value the process of getting to know my clients and offering the support they need to find strength, hope, and growth during difficult times. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you can safely explore your story, better understand your emotional world, and begin to heal the wounds that may be keeping you stuck. Even painful emotions carry important information, and together we can learn how to approach them with curiosity rather than fear.

Trust

Trust is the foundation of the work we do together. The connection we have is just as important as the therapy techniques.

Safety

When you experience psychological safety, it allows new learning to occur.

Growth

As trust and safety deepen, therapy interventions become more effective.
